What is ESS?
What is an Energy Storage System?
A system that increases energy efficiency by storing generated power and supplying it when it is needed


ESS configuration
As shown below, ESS (Energy Storage Device) is largely composed of three systems and devices.
It is divided into ①PMS, ②PCS, ③BMS, and ④Battery.
① EMS (Energy Management System)  
A system that monitors the entire ESS system remotely through WEB and sends power plant information to business owners by SMS, enabling real-time monitoring
② PCS (Power Conditioning System)  
The properties of power for charging and discharging are different. When electricity is stored, it is exported in “AC form” and when it is emitting electricity, it is exported in “DC form”. Therefore, we need a device that transforms the trait of electric power. PCS plays its role, and in addition, it has the function of adjusting frequency and voltage.
③ BMS (Battery Management System)  
The battery is the most important hardware to store power. The system that controls or manages these batteries is called a BMS.
④ Battery 
Acts as a device to store energy and supplies power through discharge when necessary
